Mosquito hotline number: 802-247-6779    http://blsgmosquito.wordpress.com/

The mosquito hotline number is: 802-247-6779. The BLSG is a municipal district started in 1979. The District is partly funded by the State of Vermont and partly by the four towns that make up the district (Brandon, Leicester, Salisbury and Goshen). While the LDFLA is not a member of the BLSG, it has enjoyed representation by an appointed representative of either Leicester or Salisbury, who is also a lake resident. The Association has been, and will continue to be, supportive and generous with the District however it is necessary that all calls or comments be made to the hotline number above to ensure they are heard by the District.

Take Action to Fight the Bite:

Wear long-sleeved shirts and long pants outside when mosquitoes are active.
Use insect repellents that are labeled as being effective against mosquitoes.
Install or repair screens on windows and doors to keep mosquitoes out.
Take extra precautions at dawn and dusk, when mosquitoes are most active and biting.

Reduce mosquito-breeding habitats by getting rid of standing water and draining areas where water can pool, such as rain gutters, wading pools, and boats.
