A couple spectacular days

Hi all,
Clear skies, 70’s and no wind. It feels more like mid September than October. We have a repeat on tap for tomorrow too.
I got on the lake briefly yesterday and was lucky enough to stumble into a pair of feeding loons. They both are faded but

the larger one looks like it must be a parent. Maybe they are one of the pairs from up on the mountain, they are still here this evening.

Also last evening, this is what the Midd. sailing club looks like when there is no wind. Any excuse to get on the water is a good one.

One of nature’s wonders, under a porch light.

The colors here in the valley are bright but far between. We still have a long way to go before we see peak color. The swamps are great but no swamps today.

We finish with one taken this evening by Jennifer W, she calls it “moon behind the maple”. Enjoy, Mike
