In spite of zero on Sunday morning, we still ended up with a large patch of open water.
Rosie got an interesting view of it.
By early afternoon, the ice slab on the left had ridden slightly up on to the slab on the right and those are ripples on the shallow water on top.
By late afternoon, the open water had extended itself down to the music camp.
This morning we are back to being iced all the way across again. Through all of yesterday, last night, and this morning, the lake is singing almost constantly. It’s a “PEW, PEW, PEEEWWWW sound like bullet ricocheting with the ricochet sometimes lasting several seconds.
Temps are finally headed back above freezing today so the only thing remaining the same will be more change. Mike
